Elective 1

The Formula to Help You Achieve Goals

A few years back, our ministry rolled out a formula that resonated with leaders, managers and staff. Why might this formula matter to you? Likely, there are instances in your own organization, just like ours, where you and your team struggled with being forward-thinking and proactive. Knowing this formula may help bring a finer level of focus. It’s comprised of 3 variables - point A (where you’re at), point B (where you want to be) and point C (the path from A to B). My experience is that this formula has a lot of substance when applied to ministry opportunities, problems and challenges. I will show the formula in equation form that will allow you to understand, remember and act. This presentation will discuss the equation using specific cases for goal-setting and commitments. In one instance, I will explain how we didn’t meet a certain objective using the formula. If you are dealing with difficult conversations - those that require grit and courage — this formula works to your favor, also.

Elective 2

Each One Teach One - Building A Training Culture

The aim of this workshop is to explore ways to build a training culture within your organisation and spread the joy of social learning.

The Community Media Training Organisation invites you to think about training and how it builds community and empowers your members and volunteers to affect change.

CMTO CEO, Giordana Caputo, will lead you through an experiential learning activity where you will create a shareable micro-video using your smart phone.

You’ll learn the basic principles of Each One, Teach One and produce a piece of online content in the process.

Your challenge is to take the lesson home and teach someone to share their story!

Hosted By:

Giordana Caputo

Elective 3

Being a station on a hill

In 2016, Russia passed an anti-terrorism law that bans proselytizing and missionary activities. FEBC's radio licenses were revoked. In three months, FEBC Radio Teos moved online, reaching 3 million in less than a year. Alexey, program manager, will speak on sharing the Good News in a country where proselytizing is banned, and how - despite opposition - there is continued growth as FEBC Teos continues to offer light and hope through its content and engagement activities in the community.
